Zhitomir
As part of a summer course I am taking on learning to read Yiddish source texts for research the first warm up task for Week 1 was to translate an extract from an extract in Chapter 13 from the text book College Yiddish, in which a grandfather is telling his grandchild about his childhood in Zhitomir and why he emigrated from from the Ukraine to America.
